Yellowstone Country and Big Timber
Seven miles from the ranch, Big Timber is where the Boulder River Valley meets the Yellowstone River, loading the Yellowstone with cold, rich water that creates one of the finest stretches of world class trout fishing along the river's course, passing Yellowstone Bend Ranch. Known for its surrounding ranches, Big Timber is a classic Montana town with a western style main street where you'll find a couple restaurants, cafés, galleries, shops, a grocer and a hardware store. If you plan on flying in on a charter, the Big Timber Airport is equipped for small jets. Bozeman and Billing's commercial airports are each about an hour away. Livingston, noted by Travel and Leisure for its art and fine dining is about halfway between Bozeman and Big Timber.
